A team of 12 eighth-grade students, led by Middle School Director Jordan Causey, Associate Aslyn Pifer, and two volunteers, recently traveled to Clarkston, Georgia, for a week-long mission trip in partnership with Clarkston International Bible Church (CIBC).

Each morning, CIBC's Missions Coordinator and interns equipped the team through training sessions designed to help them better understand how to love, serve, and share the gospel with refugees. In the afternoons, the students put what they learned into practice by leading a Backyard Bible Club at a local apartment complex. Using bracelets of specific colors, they shared the message of salvation with the children who attended. Each day, 30–40 kids participated in the Bible Club and heard the good news of Jesus.

"It was very encouraging to see the kids be able to recall the gospel by the end of the week and to even see a couple of the kids have a desire to learn more," Aslyn shared.

Throughout the week, the students interacted with children from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds, eagerly sharing the hope of the gospel. One of the most meaningful moments of the trip was spending an evening with Mariam, a local believer, who welcomed more than 20 people into her small apartment. As she shared her testimony of God's faithfulness in her life, the team enjoyed a traditional Pakistani meal, followed by dancing and fellowship together
