April 24, 2026 Love on Charleston

Written by Communications

On April 18, volunteers gathered for breakfast at the church before being sent out to serve the community at our Love on Charleston service day. The purpose of this event is to dedicate a specific day to loving the Lord with our strength and loving our neighbors. Around 250 volunteers participated in 21 service projects around our city. These projects ranged from yard work for church members to hosting an event for youth to cleaning and organizing for local partners.

Stefanie Hendrix, Missions Director, organized the event along with many church members who served as team leaders at the projects. “I was very encouraged to see so many people step up and take ownership over this event. It didn’t feel like work to me. It was really fun and I didn’t expect to be so blessed by it,” Stefanie shared.

Stefanie specifically shared how she saw the Lord work through this service day sharing, “I saw His hands and feet at work in all of the volunteers who were serving those in need. I also saw the tangible blessing of those who were served.” Thank you to the many volunteers who signed up to serve at Love on Charleston!
