May 28, 2025 Palermo Mission Trip

Written by Communications

Three church members, Rose Anderson, Sara Stacks, and Tara Frazier, recently traveled to Palermo to visit and serve alongside our global partners there. The community they visited, Borgo Nuovo, is a depressed area in Sicily where our partners are planting an evangelical church. The goal of this trip was to continue building and nurturing relationships with our partners and those in the community. Since Rose has led several teams to this region over the last few years, she has built relationships with both the partners and local women in the community. “The people of Palermo are very warm and open with us. They feel like family,” Rose shared.

Throughout the week, the team engaged in relational ministry activities, like enjoying coffee with the women, learning to make meals in their homes, and hosting a spa day to love and care for those in the community. These activities provided spaces and opportunities for gospel conversations. Each member of the team also shared their testimony with the women. Reflecting on how she saw the Lord move during their time in Italy, Rose shared, “God used the gifting of each person to encourage and bless others. The team connected well even across the language barrier.”

Please continue to pray for the people in Palermo, that gospel seeds will continue to grow and for health concerns as they are in a place with poor health care. Pray also for our partners as they prepare for a year-long stateside assignment, that they would depend on the Lord and discern His leading in this new season.
