A team of church members traveled to the city of Sheffield, England this month to serve alongside Christ Church Central in reaching refugees and asylum seekers with the gospel. The team, that was led by Van Barnhill, shared meals, spent time, and shared the gospel with individuals from places like Iran, Pakistan, Syria, and Turkey.
They also helped host an outreach time in the community for people from the Middle East. Through games and conversations, team members had the opportunity to have gospel conversations with people in the community. The team was specifically encouraged by a couple of men who prayed to become Christians. These individuals had grown disillusioned with Islam and were eager to hear about Jesus. Many seeds were planted through these conversations and the team returned home encouraged by the local church in Sheffield and opportunities for the gospel to be shared.
Please pray for the team at Christ Church Central as they continue their outreach ministry. Pray for the people this team interacted with, that they would continue to be curious about Jesus and grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ.
