Two J-Term classes will be offered on January 5, 12, 19, and 26.
Bioethics and the Church
Bioethics in the church typically focuses on battling the current culture of death as embodied in the celebration of abortion and the advancement of euthanasia. However, advances in science and biotechnology have brought even more territory for controversy and issues for confusion, both among God's people and in the culture at large. The goal for this course is to help define many of these issues, including sex and infertility, disability, aging and dying, and build a framework for decision making that acknowledges the dignity and worth of human beings as created in God's image and honors Jesus Christ as our ultimate source of hope in this life and in the next.
