This Sunday is Mother’s Day. It is a day to celebrate the faithfulness of our mothers who sacrificially love, care, serve, and believe – in the midst of joys and sorrows.
This Sunday is also a Sunday when many parents grieve the fact that they have a “prodigal” child. A child who has either walked away from the faith they were taught and is living in open sin with no regard for the things of God or eternity. Please know that prodigal children break the hearts of godly parents. So this Sunday can be a very difficult Sunday for parents who grieve prodigal children. I read a blog post from the Gospel Coalition dated May 5 and I want to share it with you. It is entitled, “How a Dad Loves a Prodigal”.
Prayerfully yours, Buster
