Position Summary

The Young Adults and Young Marrieds Pastor will shepherd and oversee members in the crucial life stages of the 20s and 30s and develop evangelistic ministries for people in this life stage in our city. The position includes a variety of relational, leadership, counseling, and teaching responsibilities. They will also embrace general pastoral responsibilities in our broader membership.

Position Summary
Create and execute a written development plan to increase giving towards the Palmetto Christian Academy (PCA)’s Endowment Fund and other giving campaigns (including but not limited to the PCA annual fund), as well as foster a culture of generosity among PCA.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop, recommend, and execute (where applicable) strategies for fostering a culture of Biblical generosity and stewardship
  • Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with potential major donors, PCA alumni, and PCA parents to help connect where God might be leading them to the opportunities that exist within the school
  • Organize and lead donor events and campaigns to increase awareness and involvement in the PCA Endowment Fund
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for growing and sustaining the PCA Endowment Fund including the establishment of measurable goals and objectives

Palmetto Christian Academy is seeking a full-time, Middle School Writing Lab Teacher to support strengthening writing skills through targeted instruction, guided practice, and collaboration with core subject teachers. Serving 6th and 8th grade students one day per week and 7th grade students daily, the Writing Lab focuses on developing clear ideas, strong organization, and effective revision across a variety of writing genres. The teacher partners closely with Middle School English Language Arts and History faculty to reinforce writing expectations connected to classroom assignments, while explicitly teaching foundational writing skills, editing strategies, and proper citation practices. Additionally, in 7th grade, students complete a full research paper, guiding them through the process of conducting research, outlining, drafting, and revising their work. Through individualized support and peer collaboration, the Writing Lab fosters confident, independent writers who take ownership of their work and grow in both skill and purpose.
