Position Summary

Job Title: Finance Assistant

Position Summary
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for providing financial support services for the day-to-day transactions of the church, school, and all related ministries of East Cooper Baptist Church as directed. This position will primarily support the Finance Team and will be cross-trained on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and all other items related to Payroll. This position may also provide support to the Human Resources Manager with onboarding, some benefit administration, or other tasks, as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Cross-train in all aspects of Accounts Payable 
  • Provide backup and assistance for Accounts Payable, to include monitoring and maintaining credit card purchases
  • Cross-train in all aspects of Accounts Receivable
  • Organize, file, and track financial documents
  • Ensure invoices and bills are processed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Prepare for and cooperate with the independent auditor as information is requested during the annual audit period
  • Cross-train in all aspects of Payroll, W2, and 1099 preparation and distribution
  • Reconcile all employee benefits to billing statements
  • Assists Human Resources Manager with benefits administration, onboarding, or other tasks
  • Cross-train on contributions, tuition receivable, and incoming funds
  • Maintain confidentiality with all financial information
  • Assist Finance Team with analyzing workflow process
  • Assist Finance Team with documenting office procedures
  • Assist with the inventory/fixed assets/Upkeep project

Position Summary

The High School Ministry Director oversees the High School Ministry. This position is responsible for leading the High School Ministry through the mentoring and discipleship of students, logistical planning for events, and providing financial oversight for the ministry’s budget.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversight of all High School Ministry events
  • Partnering with parents to help their students grow in Christlikeness
  • Providing regular teaching in the HSM class and other large-group events
  • Coordinating discipleship groups for the HSM
  • Identifying and training volunteers for the HSM
  • Planning various ministry events, mission trips, and retreats
  • Manage expenses within the approved annual budget

The preferred candidate will possess a Master’s degree in a science discipline and an ACSI or South Carolina teaching certificate.

  • Planning, creating and implementing science lessons that promote an engaging, positive and interactive learning environment
  • Prepare, administer and evaluate tests and classroom assignments following curriculum guidelines
  • Work closely with Upper School Instructional Coach to deliver approved curriculum

  • Create Eagle Edition weekly newsletter through the gathering and developing of stories based on school events and activities
  • Create and post social media content in consultation with the Director of Marketing and Communications
  • Work closely with Yearbook Instructor for photos and other social media content
  • Work closely with classroom teachers and Administrators to review and develop stories

Position Summary
PCA is seeking a Choir Director to teach middle and high school vocal music classes, and to develop a program that leads to students performing in a variety of activities including musical events, chapels, drama performances, music festivals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Teach high school performance choir, middle school performance choir, and middle school music classes
  • Organize and direct all annual scheduled performances to include Thanksgiving and Christmas programs, spring concert, Coffee House, and commencement
  • Prepare both high school and middle school choirs for special performances such as for nursing home residents, church bible study groups, and grade-level events
  • Manage audition process for Honors and All-State choirs
  • Accompany students to SCISA music festival in spring
