Position Summary
As part of the East Cooper Baptist Communications team, the Communications Assistant is responsible for helping with graphic design and administrative tasks.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accomplish project assignments with excellence in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with staff about event needs and questions.
  • Manage production calendar requests for both East Cooper and Palmetto Christian Academy.
  • Email and Schedule Sunday AM Volunteers.
  • Add slides for all ECBC and PCA programs and events.
  • Assist in managing equipment in the asset management system.
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Designer on creative projects, bringing new and fresh design ideas to fruition.
  • Develops visual design for designated requests and projects from our ministry leaders.
  • Provide input in various phases of the design process.
  • Able to help with weekly communications responsibilities such as folding bulletin, setting out signage, and sending emails.
  • Serve the larger communications team needs by training to be a backup for some production roles such as lyrics and camera operation.

Job Title: Finance Assistant

Position Summary
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for providing financial support services for the day-to-day transactions of the church, school, and all related ministries of East Cooper Baptist Church as directed. This position will primarily support the Finance Team and will be cross-trained on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and all other items related to Payroll. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Cross-train in all aspects of Accounts Payable
  • Provide backup and assistance for Accounts Payable, to include monitoring and maintaining credit card purchases
  • Cross-train in all aspects of Accounts Receivable
  • Organize, file, and track financial documents
  • Ensure invoices and bills are processed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Prepare for and cooperate with the independent auditor as information is requested during the annual audit period
  • Cross-train in all aspects of Payroll, W2, and 1099 preparation and distribution
  • Reconcile all employee benefits to billing statements
  • Cross-train on contributions, tuition receivable, and incoming funds
  • Maintain confidentiality with all financial information
  • Assist Finance Team with analyzing workflow process
  • Assist Finance Team with documenting office procedures
  • Assist with the inventory/fixed assets/Upkeep project

Job Title: Kids Ministry Assistant
Reports To: Kids Ministry Director

Position Summary: 
The role of Kids Ministry Assistant is to provide organizational and administrative support to the Kids Ministry. The Kids Ministry Assistant supports ministry efforts on a weekly basis and assists with special events of the ministry. The Kids Ministry Assistant is responsible for organizing and structuring ministry resources and volunteers. This position is for 20 hours per week at $15 to $20 per hour based upon experience. 

Working Relationships
Works directly with the Kids Ministry Director and Kids Ministry Associate, Nursery Director, Next Gen Team, other staff members, and Kid Min Volunteers. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Assist with Sunday morning set up and clean up to include set up and break down of classroom supplies and kiosks
  • Keep stock and organization of ministry resources and spaces
  • Assist the Kids Ministry Associate with curriculum, resources, crafts and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. 
  • Assist with various ministry activities such as Worship Wednesday, CrossWalk HangTime, ministry parties, summer camps and outreach activities. 
  • Coordinate refreshments/snacks for Sunday morning and Kids Ministry Events
    Attend weekly Kids Ministry meetings
  • Assist with recruiting volunteers 

Key Deliverables

  • Operational support of weekly Kids Ministry activities and special events.

Job Title: Nursery Caregivers

Position Description
The ECBC Nursery Department desires to hire Nursery Caregivers to help with various day and evening ministry events. Workers must be at least 15 years of age and must provide previous experience caring for children. The Nursery Department will train each new Caregiver hired. The Nursery Caregiver is to provide care for the overall needs of each child in their classroom. The Nursery Caregiver is an hourly paid position. Adults $15.00 per hour and Teens $12.00 per hour.

Qualifications and Requirements

    university and have a minimum of two years of experience in teaching science to middle and/or
    high school students, preferably in a Christian School environment.
  • Possess or be working toward an ACSI or state certification.
  • Must have a credible profession of faith and testimony, and be actively involved in a local church, as this person will serve as a role model in attitude, speech, and actions for the school community.
  • Must be able to articulate his/her Christian worldview and philosophy of Kingdom education.
  • Able to implement policy and procedures of the science department and school.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
