"I got to college four years ago at CSU, and I was so intent on living life, having experiences, and finding myself. But I had this roommate who was very persistent, and we started reading the Bible together. I ended up going home during my freshman year because my grandfather passed away. It was a very intense moment for me, and I came back to school realizing my need for Christ. I started reading about who He was and about how despite all of my brokenness, all of my performing, all of my failures, all of the ways that I try to seek satisfaction in the world, he looks at me with so much love, and it’s so unconditional. Learning about what He did on the cross and that I could have a relationship with Him changed my life and I gave my life to Him."

"At a young age, my parents taught me about our gracious God, and I repented of my sins with my belief in Jesus’ sacrifice. It wasn’t until my family and I moved to South Carolina and started attending ECBC five years ago that I started to learn about this relationship more deeply. At home my dad led a family devotion each morning exploring passages I had never read, and the youth groups at this church led me deeper into familiar passages from the Bible. I learned that when I trusted Jesus years ago, I kickstarted a process of growing in God for the rest of my life. Now I can say that after meeting Jesus, He has given me peace, purpose, and hope that nothing else could ever give me."

"We moved here a year and a half ago and started coming to ECBC. I learned even more about the Bible because they explained it more in a kid-type way. Last year, I went to Connect Camp and learned more about God in a really fun way. We also do worship at our house, and my parents teach me about God. All of this helps me understand that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and everyone else’s sins. I believe that He is my Savior and the one and only Savior."
